some good food stories of 2012

Happy New Year humans! please eat less pig and more turkey!

here are some interesting food stories of the year that ends in few hours...

from the stories of the link, here is my favourite one

Author Tracie McMillan explained that when it comes to produce, it’s not the farmers who get most of the money we spend on food. It’s everyone who's standing past the farm gate.

The breakdown
For every dollar we spend on food, only about 16 cents goes to the farmer. The other 84 cents go towards what economists call “marketing,” which refers not to commercials and advertising, but the entire chain that ensures food makes it from farm to plate.

let's hope that 2013 bring us more interesting stories with better value for money and richer flavour!

and do NOT forget...that the Farmers deserve more money for all their hard work! without them, there would be NO food for the marketing people to sell...

Happy New Year !!!
